Are you talking about those pots that roots will go through?
Or the little jiffy pots that have dirt in em and you soak them in water?

Oh, I have never tried them but I know people that use them for a week and then just place them (pot and everything) into a bigger pot with dirt in it so the roots will go through the pots into the plant.

Problem is ive heard info about mould due to the wood fibres or something im thinking about leaving my seeds to Germ till i get something sorted tommoz proper worried about using them !!

ive used them and honestly they kind of are a pain. The only advantage of them is that transplanting is so easy but I never really had a problem with that anyway.

The problems I see with peat cups are that they get moldy and/or fall apart especially when trying to germinate or clone because they soak up so much water maybe that's my bad I dunno. Also they dry out really fast and if your not careful you could kill your plants from underwatering. that's about it keeping your water moisture levels right and your good.

Oh yeah and sincee they are so light they can easily tip over.

Don't leave your seeds in germ for to long or they will start developing roots into the paper towel (if thats what your using)

I used to use them but had problems with mold. I stopped using them and now I put seeds and cloned straight into FoxFarm Light Warrior soil. In the longrun you will save money by avoiding peat pots or jiffy pellets. Just start em out in red party cups instead!
