Could I use a different pump from the original that it comes with? My local store said the pump is $100 which is really high for a water pump

Any mag drive pump thats about the same GPH rating would work.

My ez clone from amazon has a lifetime warranty on the pump (probably why it's more expensive than others)

I've replaced mine twice without having to ship the dead pump back.

I got a new pump from amazon worked on my old ez cloner perfectly. Recently upgraded to a 36 site king cloner, never will switch back.
