PerfectPH... Anyone experience yet?

A new device has recently been launched.
It is called the PerfectPH and comes from a company called TorusHydro.
They are also an advertiser now on rollitup and you can win one of their devices.

It is a device tha automaticcaly balances your pH in hydro.
This is how they claim it works:
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Using ion technology, the PerfectpH attracts and captures the charged particles that influence pH, targeting pH problems at their source and keeping pH in the ideal range for proper growth. PH is a measurement of charged-hydrogen concentration, and as this concentration changes growers then see spikes or drops in their pH value. What growers are actually witnessing is an excess of positive (H+) or negative (OH-) hydrogen ions building up, which then inhibit the plants from properly absorbing the nutrients they need. Without the PerfectpH, this then requires growers to keep constant attention to make sure that the pH is maintained in the proper range. The PerfectpH acts as an outlet for these ions, capturing ions that would otherwise raise or lower pH outside of the ideal range. Simply drop the PerfectpH capsule model into your reservoir or connect the PerfectpH Inline Edition to your pump, no power required.

Basics are that certain weakly acidic cation Ion exchange resins make sure that your pH stays between 5.8 and 6.2.
The resins can be re-charged after a few months by cleaning them with some low percentage acids.

Does anyone have experience with the device PerfectPH?
Does anyone already use those resins?
Did anyone make the device himself with Amberlite CG50, for example?

I run rdwc,never had an issue with ph getting out of range.Is it not favorable to allow it to swing a little?I could see an alarm or somthing to notify you if it got out of range for people that cant check there grow daily.

It does make it swing a little as you see in the video.

I’ve used ph perfect from advanced nutrients in dwc for Atleast a few years now.
I don’t look at ph at all when using it,
ph perfect is not so much ph perfect, rather it’s chelated meaning the plant can absorb the feeding at a much wider ph range. I used to use it with ro water but now just use tap water with an 8 - 8.5 ph!
It suits me as I work full time in the mines and do long hard days.
Ph perfect makes the job easy.
I would like to go back to adjusting ph if I consistently had the time as I feel you can fine tune it a little more when you get a strain dialled in.
Another thing is it’s good for 7 to 10 days without having to do a res change or top res up with some fresh ph perfect. If using AN ph perfect make sure you get some cal/mag for early flower.

here is a shot of a bud from my current grow using ph perfect. Added a small amount of b52 in veg, hit it with 1 heavy feeding of silica during stretch and have added a little big bud in the last 2 weeks. Its around 4 weeks into flower. Great trichome production!

And a little swing is usually a good thing as long as it’s within reason.

I replied so not all comments after yours would be about PH Perfect from AN.
The name is easy to mix up.

I only read one review about it from Great Britain. That guy was not to happy with it, but I think he did not really understand the device (what it is primarily meant for)

TBH it sounds kinda cool, but it appears to run like a filter, so if running beneficial bacteria in your reservoir it might filter them out and clog up. Not sure.

I think it is not like a filter. The water just has to 'touch' it, as it seems.
The original PerfectPH, you just lay down in your reservoir.

But it is just an assumption.
I guess it needs some testing.
I don't know for example if it affects the working of your beneficial bacteria.

I am pretty sure that if it does work (and what I found so far it does work) that there will be soon a lot of suppliers getting on the market with it.
Can't find any patents on it.
The resins they use are not cheap, but if you only need 1 gram per gallon, it is ok.
For $ 300 you can buy 1000 grams of similar resins in China.
So that is $ 30 for a 100 gallon reservoir.
The device that you can buy ready-made looks great, but if you would put the resins in a bag with the right size mesh it would also work.
The re-charge fluid must also be way cheaper then that sell it for now.

I would be interested in what the "resins" are comprised of. If the plant uptakes these in anyway. Lots of questions for sure.

Ive seen a few companies slap their name on this already. One called Zelda Horticulture sells a 35 100 and 250 gal res version. The larger versions have the inline filter and the 35 gal is just the res stick. Recharge is half the price at $43 bucks.

But as I understand those resins come in many forms.

Zelda made a deal with them, and is slightly cheaper.
I saw some shops in the UK who are cheaper as well.

I had never heard of ph perfect before.. is it just a addon or that whole system? I did a search and it came up at like $260.. which is a bit much for me to not deal with ph I might have found the wrong thing though.
