is that the oohmoles guy? i stopped paying attention a year ago when it was obvious he didnt even understand the product he was marketing. that may have changed.

my general rule is i would not buy a fixture from a company that cannot provide an umol/J number

same trick as the other cheap lights like Optic, etc - focus crappy diodes with lenses > take spot par reading > sell to custies > repeat

There are a few people on this forum that have purchased his lights to be honest I thought they were ok until I started to educate myself on lighting. To the uneducated it is easy to fall for the marketing hype especially when there is a lot of other people supporting it. I have read several posts of owners that have experienced diode burn out on large scale with the PerfectSun 1000 light. The most common theme is companies buy a cheap Chinese light then change the order of a few of the diode and claim a different spectrum to justify marking up the price of the light. For instance the lights Optic LED are selling are manufactured by SunPlus Led the same light just called a pioneer 600. These are sold on alibaba for half the price and that is delivered to the customer. The people selling the Optic Led are quick to defend their light and mark up saying it is a different spectrum the truth is it is not really worth the mark up they use the same components and warranty as the chinese manufacturers, that is because it is the same product. Another example is the DuoLux 600 from top shelf lighting they charge $1099 for a light you can buy from geyapex the manufacturer for half the price except it is called the SOLO 600 and not the DuoLux 600. The only benefit I can see to purchasing the light from a store in the US is warranty that is If you are silly enough to buy one of these lights in the first place. You would have a better chance of getting warranty from the US than you would from the Chinese manufacturer. Dont waste your time and money do it right in the first time and buy COBs or QB instead.

I know it is a pity he seems like a really nice bloke, but he is not the only one misleading their subscribers marketing subpar lights just because they got a free light. I made comment on his channel about the DuoLux 600 being the same light as the SOLO 600 from geyapex. He defended TSL by saying it was a proprietary light spectrum which it maybe but changing one or two diodes does not make it worth $400+ more than the geyapex light. In his unboxing of the DuoLux 600 light video the manufacturers sticker clearly reads Model: SOLO 600 ??? So how proprietary is it? Both offer the same specs and components, imo all of these facts add up to = they are the same light just rebadged and mark up in $. At the end of the day it is each to their own I guess. People need to do a little research and stop believing the hype just because someone says it is true, there may be ulterior motives at play.

Dont warry I eat my *hit 18moths ago..But at least I didt go broke..I was ripped off on only 600$..Type In photon 6.. I have been comunicated with geypex long time ago..
The thing that bothers me the most is that he is kind a I guess good grower , and on that fact people will buy all kind of shit that he will sell to them coz they belive that tools makes you master..
The funniest thing is that king of shitty lights had pass year ago, but if you minimum interested in growing with led you should stumble upon cobs and shits..
So i cannoit belive that bullshit that he sells has buyers and audince..

His light did grow out some big ass trees tho. But seems half his shit is half ass'ed looking, and he says he isnt after quality.

The prices of his lights, and Most lights are outrageous. Heck, even Growmau shit is expensive. I almost got Perfect Sun mini, then decided to go the worst route and got 2 Mars300. LOL...... I put lens in them, now par 1400 at 18 inches, but still grows shitty. I changed most of the diodes to 3W 4000k and now its rockin, but only 125watts, but dam, its growin like crazy. better then 2 mars300 together.and gave away the other Mars300 to a friend for house plants, lol.

PS: I thought Big Dukie was a grower, LOL. ( just reading above, and thought a dude got eatn by a dog) then just happen to watch a Vid and WTF, there is big Dukie.,

So people really amazes me..But again wtf would I feel sorry for someone buying crap at 2017 when there is so much info on the Internet..,you just need to google it..

ok. im a newb and i was about to order a pioneer 2 for my 2x3 from sunplus not perfect sun and you guys say its crap.So what would be a better investment i thought it was the best of both world blurple and cob, now i am confused and back to square one. Advice please......
