hello i have a quick question on what route to go down

i have aquired a second tent which i am now going to use for vegging. I have all the fans lights etc to run 2 tents. What i wish to know is what would be the most effective way of growinf here,

my flower tent is set up to hold 9 plants all be it would be a little cramped in there so i was thinking 3 plants go into flower and take cuttings veg another 3 and take cuttings and so on should have a max of 9 in the flower tent but more often 6 flower for 2 months.

is this a good way of doing it?

or keep a mother plant in the veg chamber allowing me to take cuttings when ever i please

if I was running perpetual like that I'd grow 2 strains from seed, cut 5 clones off of each, veg the clones for a bit, pick out the best 3 of each, and flower them. rinse and repeat.

of course you clone the clones for the next run, I wouldn't start from seed unless I wanted to switch out the strains.

Keeping a healthy, smaller mother can be rewarding work, but I deemed it to be too demanding and I find myself craving new flavors after a couple runs of the same.

My veg tent is rather limited, so as I move two to the bloom room I take 2 clippings (or 3... or 4 :-o) .. Do that once a month and as you harvest 2 you bring 2 new ones in.

Good luck with whatever you end up doing!

Figure on your flowering room being about 4 times as large as your veg room. I've been doing a perpetual grow kicking out 2 plants a week. I have clone domes in one closet, a 4 x 5 foot veg space in another closet and a 8 x 8 room for flowering. Works 4 me, BigSteve.

Mother plants are just regular female plants that you leave veg longer. Unless you veg space is totally full you need to make room for a mom or 2. That's where clones come from unless you are buying rooted clones. Mom's are important - clone donors need to be at least 5 weeks old to give up clones. Most vegging plants are go from veg to flower at 4-6 weeks in dirt (for me anyway). Unless you plan on snagging clones off every plant that goes to flower you need a clone mom. Works 4 me, BigSteve.

Keep a mother plant, and clone in the vegg room. Once the clones are big and healthy, toss them into them into the flower room.

Also, you can graft multiple strains onto a single mother plant. By doing this, you can have multiple strains on one mother plant. Theoretically each branch can be a different strain.

fast forward to 2:29
