Hey Everyone.
Want to start by saying I'm a noob and this is my first grow. I was wondering about the PH of my water/nutrient solution and If I should be worried. I'm using ff ocean forest with 1 gallon containers. My plants vegged for 5 weeks and have been flowering for about 20 days. When I add molasses and nutes to my water and check the PH of the solution it reads about 5.5. I know this is too low, but read that the oyster shells on in the soil are used to stabilize the PH.
Most of the plants seem to be budding well, (Here is a link to my album) Marijuana Growing - tiredofbuyingit's Album: My First Grow, but 2 have a little bit of slow growth and one has a dying leaf issue. I'm thinking it's a nutrient def. so that's why the PH has concerned me. When I take PH readings using the soil tester it says to make sure the soil is completely wet, but I'm feeding the plants every watering and essentially testing the freshly fertilized soil. When testing the soil after the watering it usually comes to about 5. Does it take a while for the oyster shells to bring the PH back up? Should I be concerned. I would have taken pics of the leaves, but I left my camera at work.
Thanks in advance for your help
