Ph fluctuation or nutrient burn?

1030161223a.jpg 1030161223.jpg Watered about 3 days ago and found this creeping up on my little guys in veg. I grow in soilless peat moss. I ph tested the water to about 6.4 which was a bit high for soilless but didn't think much of it because a lot of people don't ph at all.

The peat could be the culprit., It is acidic and will mess up your ph., Ph is absolutely necessary., Cannabis uptake ph ranges are from 6-7 and if it goes lower or higher that that u will start having lockout of nutrients causing deficiency's., Every nutrients have different intake points thats why fluctuations between 6-7 are good so the plant can uptake all the nutrients necessary for BEST development and outcome. Always ph your water.,. I do it always even having natural buffer's in my soil mix., I also monitor my run off ppm. But thats just me. GL

Looks like nute burn to me. But I ain't no expert. It might be a pH issue, I think pH is more credible when not using soil. Maybe you'll get a better answer soon.

Also do u have them outdoors? Have u seen any webbing? It can be bugs also., But more likely is ph out of wack

Its the peat. I went to a new peat base and bought four 4 cubic ft bales of it. the first 3 I use for flowers and the last for cannabis. The last bale was bad and it wrecked the ph.

It's not bugs. Nor is it the peat moss. Ive used this medium for a year now with good results. I never reuse. It is ph buffered. I was phing to about 5.9ish and once watered at 6.4 because i thought my meter may have been off, which i now know it is not off. im leaning towards ph fluctuation, nutrient burn is usually a little more.. "burnt" for lack of a better word.

How is ph buffered? It takes decaying matter to make ions that buffer ph. If it is a stand alone peat, peat gets acidic.

How do you know you didn't get a bad batch?

Carry on then.

If not they are burnt and have salt build up.

.
too early for salt build up. Its SS advanced #4 pre buffered, has lime in the mix.

Relevant, should have stated previously. Just switched from GH maxi series to Dyna gro FP and protekt. giving about 3mL of FP per gallon and about .5 mL of protekt per gallon iirc. But I dont have a set regimen yet because its a brand new nutrient set.

Foliage pro is good stuff. Back off to 1ml per gallon. That is where I started when using it and worked up. I didn't care much for the protekt. It only needs to be used once or twice the whole life of the plant. Diatomaceous earth mixed in your soil is a good source of silica and has the benefit of deterring pest.

Foliage pro is higher in N than what you were using.

I would use water only for a few watering's and then start back at 1ml.

Thanks, I will try that while I keep a closer eye on my ph.
