pH is 8.2

Just found out that my cities water supply is 8.2 Does anyone know how this can affect the plants

municiple water usually is alkali. Sprinkle a little nute into your water to bring it down. If you're using city water, you should have it in a tub or something open and let it sit out. Not just opening the faucet and pouring.

8.2 is too high, need some ph down, peet or vinegar

Just buy some ph down, 10.99 and a cheap test kit, 6.99. Save yourself trouble and heartache. PH will make or break your shit. Get it to about 5.8 - 6.0.

kinda hard to tell him what to adjust it too if ya don't know if he is hydro or soil...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, i just dug out my ph meter and tested some water and the shit is off the charts at 8.6 and I know that is waaaaay to high, and by the way I am growing in promix using advanced nutes sensi parts a and b with carb load and big bud. 2000 watts hps and co2 burner. One lesson learned is that never take anything for granted because the simplest things can cause complete kaos in your garden. But I wanna thank everyone for their responses.... I guess thats what happens when you take a years vacation lol
