PH Meter problems

Ok here is my problem. Just the other week i used my ph meter and it was working fine. Today i tried to calibrate it and couldn't get it to calibrate. I went out and bought a new electrode and still was having a issue. So i went back to the shop bought a new ph meter and now I'm still having calibrating issues. Do you think my buffer solution could be old?

What kind of calibrating issues? Can you just take the new one back to the hydro store and see if they can help you set it. If your a good customer they shouldnt have an issue replacing it or helping you fix it. Those couple extra bucks you pay for things instead of going to amazon can really be worth it when you have problems like this. Good luck.

Have you been storing it in a storage solution and keeping the electrode wet?
If not, your killing the electrode.

check the batteries for proper output, but yes, i just recently noticed my calibrating solution went bad and i couldn't calibrate my pen. when set for 4, 7 would be off. set for 7, 4 would be off. couldn't set ph4 and ph7 at the same time. it looked like little chunks of wax were floating in it (the calibrating solution) and i know for a fact i sealed it up every time, i'm anal about that stuff and door locks lol. hope you didn't put the battery from old meter into new meter, if so... that could be the problem.
