Ph pen madness

Hi, i have 3 different ph pens ( with no manual) all cheap.. 1 yellow/ another green one and a red EZ9908 4 in 1 (the best one)

I have tried calibrating these and they all jump to a different number after holding the CAL button. ( i hopd one in buffer 4.0 and it calibrates to 6.86 automatically after i release the button)

I have no idea how to factory reset any if these and YouTube has drawn blanks.

2 of them were relatively accurate before this messed up calibration (1 is toast) but now it thinks that the buffer 4 solution is actually 6.86 .

Is there any way to manually calibrate these? It seems a bit stupid that its automatic but doesn't work.

Thanks for any info ( i also don't see any screwdriver slot...there is a hole... but nothing behind it...)

In 2024, the age of flying cars and space cruises, you guys are using drops?

I have a spendy Aperea combo meter that wont calibrate, using the 15 dollar ph and ppm ones now.

I bought drops but only used them a few times.

Have you tried cleaning the electrodes and recalibrating them? Sometimes that helps. If not, you might be able to manually calibrate them, but it's unlikely without a screwdriver slot. Unfortunately, it might be time to consider replacing them with better quality ones that come with proper support.

No they havnt been cleaned.

I don't know if manual calibration is possible ( i didnt get the manual) when i use buffer solution they automatically choose the level (incorrectly)

Thanks

Foam problem solved ... It seems that it was the amino acid powder that i was given that produced foam & turned the reservoir cloudy with a strange smell.

I emptied and flushed the system and now have only A & B veg nutes in... so far so good.

Im just looking for a way to buffer the water now as it comes out if the tap at 26ppm and 7.4 ph.

Im getting wild ph swings to the low side after adding nutes.. maybe baking soda as a temporary solution? I will try to find some sort of silica product but where i live not everything is available.

If there's any easy to get products that you can recommend to raise/buffer the ph solution apart from baking soda that would be appreciated. ( unless baking soda is fine)
