ph up and down question

i know vinegar and baking soda will raise and lower the ph of water but is it ok to water your plants with that..

I thought I was going to save some coin by using vinegar, but it was a complete joke. It lowered my ph alright. For a day, then I'd add more. Eventually it reacted with something else I was using and made a mess in my res. Baking soda I've heard better results from, but never had to use it, as low ph has never been an issue. The one thing they do say about baking soda is to use it sparingly.
