phantom cookies & candyland

so i have seen a few grows done of these but not many. Wondering if anyone else has grown them since i ordered some phantom cookies and the reg freebies are candyland right now.
Anyone with anything helpful to add let me know.

I don't really have anything helpful to add other than I will be doing a testing right beside you as soon as they come in. I ordered the phantom cookies, ogdp, candyland. I am praying for a miracle and that I can get a mother from each strain.

it does have cookies in it from what ive read its cherrypie x gdp x gsc thin mint? i got 2 fems one has big buds no smell no resin it sucks the other is bomb smells like fennel low yeild dense fire,i didnt get ta save a clone though it died tryin a new way

Yeah ken doesn't have the cookies he just made his own "version" with GDP x Cherry Pie. The sad thing is you'll find them switching up the lineages and the stories of how they were founded. I kind of regret not helping out a ma and pa shop but sanies is over a month late for delivery so I don't think I am going to get them.

My understanding is Phantom Cookies = Phantom x Bay Platinum Cookies, (Phantom = Cherry Pie x GDP) (Platinum GSC = Bay 11 x GSC) I have grown out the Phantom Cookies and they are great. I am on my 4th round off my keeper mother. I feel like I have whored my pictures around a lot but here they are again. download.jpg

Currently my favorite strain, its very easy to grow and can take large amounts of stress and still put out top notch buds. My pheno finishes in 65 days. Its also a fantastic medical strain for people with chronic pain and nausea.

Looks good, but does it taste and smell like GSC? If you go to the GDP website at http://www.granddaddypurpleseeds.com and click on Phantom Cookies it sends you here: http://original-ssc.com/granddaddy-purple-seeds-phantom-cookies.html which says Genetics: Cherry Pie x GDP

Then again it also says Plant Height: Indoors up to 15 cm & Outdoors up to 20 cm.

I would say it has a slight cookies smell absolutely, it smells more like berry chocolate mint than anything though. I am not too worried over if it has GSC in it or not but it tastes a little like it and the buds are rock solid, extremely frosty and very potent. Yeah I have seen many times that the ceeds at ceedbanks are listed as GDP x Cherry Pie but GDP x Cherry Pie is Phantom. This is supposed to be Phantom x Bay Platinum Cookies from what I was told. I did not breed it so I do not know for sure but I have been told by several reputable people that this is the cross. I am very happy with it regardless of the genetics.

I am running Sinmints right now 43 days into flower and they are really starting to get a similar sweet cookies smell that my Phantom Cookies also has.

Talked to the GDP ceeds rep and he said Phantom x Bay Platinum Cookies is what he knows it to be, he also said there was perhaps some confusion with some of the guys they used to work with that did some funny stuff, so it sounds to me like there is definitely some questions about what this actually is. He said their crosses would be better described in the future, all I can say about it is its really great weed.

i think this is a wake up call for ken and the gdp team to be more transparent, honest, ethical, and forthright if they want to be a part of the global cannabis seed industry. this situation can be a fresh start for the gdp collective, to start giving credit where credit is due, and to label their genetics truthfully and correctly. we will see in which direction they decide to go with this. actions always speak louder than words.

Thanks @Blazin Purps. I have 3 Phantom Cookies at 59 days, looks like 2 phenos, a dark purple and a deep green one. I assume the purple one is Phantom dom?

Been looking for some more info on this one..

There seems to be understandable confusion on the genetics. From what I have gathered the lineage is:

Phantom x Bay Platinum Cookies
(Cherry Pie x GDP) x (Bay 11 x Platinum Cookies)

This is in the seed packaging and confirmed in this thread. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=247727

The packaging also states that the Genotype is Cherry Pie x GDP, which probably leads to the confusion.

An organism’s genotype is the set of genes that it carries. An organism’s phenotype is all of its observable characteristics—which are influenced both by its genotype and by the environment.

Phenotype is what you can see, Genotype is what is inside.

Pnw i saw had a thread
on another forum breaking down genetics.
All i know is maybe six months back i popped those gdp ogkush that came free, got one female and she is DANK.
Only one way to find out if i think anything of these two strains.

I am smoking on some Phantom Cookies that I grew out as we speak. I thought it turned out pretty good. I got about 2 1/2 ozs. of descent sized spear shaped colas that were covered in a layer of frost. I only had some purpling on my sugar leaves around the buds. It just screams purple to me as far as the smell and taste goes.
