Ph'd Tap water or Buy at Well water?

I'm new to dwc and just got a seed hatched, I know people say to wait 24 hours before using tap water. So Can I get away with using ph'd tap water?

Or is it better that I use the water you buy at the water stations 35Cents a gallor?

tap water is 7.0ph
Bought water is 6.0ph.

Dont' have a ppm meter thats why i ask here. Does it make any substantial difference at all? IF I use it without waiting 24 hours. If not i'll just use tap water. thanks

use the 35c water. tap water has chlorine in it and other chemical to make it "safe" to drink. . Hence the wait 24 for chlorine to evap. start with 35c water which is Reverse osmosis most likely. Tap water is about 200 ppm RO water is like 7ppm. the you can switch back after it has develop some roots that can help "buffer" the plant from the water. BUT I would stay with RO the whole grow, easyer to manage ph with RO water Vs Tap, Ive tried both Tap water can have PH swings ALOT more often then RO water. I dont know if its due to the minerals in the water or what . GL happy growing

Hey bro my advice....get a ph and ppm meter. I use tap water and get the fish tank stuff that gets rid of the chlorine. It works and u don't have to lug water everywhere. Happy growing

I use water straight frlom the tap, i don't leave it overnight, i don't seem to encounter any issues Just bear in mind that certain areas have certain additives in their water, althouhg i've never heard any real horror stories of using tap water, seems a lot of needless worry about it, such as the idea of leaving it out, i used to do it, was told by someone else it was not needed and lo and behold i noticed no change

there are some places useing chlorimine not chlorine,the chlorimine does not gas out of the water like chlorine does and I had my first 2 grows have problems at the end of flowering,I was still able to get good buds but the leaves were turning brown and getting crispy,I kept everything in check through out both grows,now I either use rain water or if I do use tap water I use drops to remove the chlorimine and heavy metals in the water you can get this stuff at a pet store,since I switched to rain water and tap water treated with the drops I have no problems,I think it takes time for the chlorimine to reach toxic levels in the plant so this problem isnt noticeable untill its to late.this is just my opinion

I use Reverse Osmosis water that I buy from a water station and the plants love it. Rain water obviously works best, as it contains trace minerals that plants need, but it's impractical for indoor grows.Trust me, ReverseOsmosis water is the next best thing. I wouldn't advise using chlorinated city water if you can help it.

I;'m starting to believe more and more that tap water is getting a bad rap.
I have plants in all stage atm. My hempy buckets, micro DWC, and main closet grow all get fed pH'd R/o water, and they're doing fine.
The clone I took a few weeks back are growing in pure, unamended (including perlite) Miracle Grow Organic and the are fed nothing but
plain tap water. My tap water comes out at 660ppm
When I have time or remember to, I leave some water out to de-cholrinate it (I found out later that you can treat chlorinated tap water with vitamin c), but not always. Point is, those plants are the healthiest looking plants in the bunch.
