Basic gist of the story: a Chinese venture capital firm agrees to buy Philips Lumiled division. I thought this was interesting since Luxeons are good, the Philips lightbulb is around 100-110 L/w. (Considerably better than Cree's 88 L/w). I wondered what the Chinese would do to it if (considering how lousy epi-whatever diodes are).
