thats funny u post this, about 30 mins ago i was randomly looking at my deck from my driveway, i have a maple tree and there was a decent sized spider hanging about 15 feet in the air and like this wasp came out of no where and flew away with the spider. IT was no joke the funniest and most bumbfounded moment in my life lol....
haha yeah its cool to see that, it was probably a mud wasp. In fact alot of wasps tend to catch spiders for food, not for them but for the babies. Mud wasps will take the spider, sting and paralyze it, lay an egg on it, and bundle the whole thing up inside their hollow glob of mud. Gnarly thing is, the spiders alive the whole time, even when the egg hatches and its being eaten. Bad way to go if you ask me lol
That green spider op has is a crab spider its called a "green lynx", known for walking/running sideways lol normally found on flowers waiting for bees, butterflies and any other bug trying to eat the flowers nectar. They come in all colors from pink to yellow and alot of different shapes/sizes.
Lol I suppose you could say I studied entomolgy for a portion of my life, only reason I really know this stuff...lol
