I hope I am not re-hashing an old thread but here goes.

if you look at my photo you can see 3 lights hanging each is 95 watts.

closet is 2' deep by 6' long

Can that wattage be sufficient for Veg?

I was told to just change two bulbs in each fixture to more red spectrum bulbs for Flowering.

Is it possible to get a descent harvest under 95 watts???

If they are not enough how can I supplement them?

are those flurencent or led lights? fluro will give u fluffy buds, led will do best for the wattage

I would supplement those 95w lights with at least 100w more of CFLs spread around the plants evenly. or maybe hang that third 95 watter sideways for side lighting. also get them as close to the plant as you can without burning them.

thanks for the input.
I have decided to add two 3' long power bars to the back wall, with two it will give me 24 outlets and stretch the length of my table.

I will use parts to create a either a single bulb per outlet or a " Y " at each outlet for two bulbs per outlet.
I think it should give me the wattage I need.

I have 2700 and 6500 and 5000 CFL bulbs, not sure my "real" wattage of the bulbs but I think the back lighting will add what I need.


It will be much easier to mount to wall, but then its only good at one height.

I am capable of wiring a series of bulbs on a strip like this only hanging with bulbs pointed down.
I would then opt for one bulb per spot, maybe two and mix my bulbs.

Would you go fixed or mobile?
mobile will get in the way more I think....
but what do I know I'm just stoned again and thinking to much!

I'd keep the light as mobile as possible, as your plants grow you're going to want to position them in all kinds of ways to maximize your light. CFL's do not have good penetration, so you have to keep them as close to the plant as possible and all around the plant if possible.

I have a few of the cheap work lights from Depot and I just took the reflectors off and it basically leaves just a light socket on a cord. I put the Y adaptors on them, hang them from something and maneuver them where ever they need to go that day. also rotating your plants often will help you out.
