hey guys this is my blue cheese at week 9 of flowering
im going to start flushing tomorrow cuz i think it should be ready to harvest in a couple weeks

most of the white hairs have turned orange (i would say about 70 percent)
all suggestions appreciated
also i used cfl for this grow and i was jw if a 250 watt hps light would put out more heat that 8 26 watt cfl lights, because im using cfl now

also the electric bill, will i have a significant difference in price of my bill if i get the 250 hps
i just want to grow pot as fast as possible and get the good bud, my next grow will be vio kush an di want it work out perfectly

Nice plant.
There would be some give and take with the lights. CFL's can be close, you can use them all around the plant, very little heat. HPS would be deeper penetration of light, more efficient use of power, and would get larger buds. Right now you are using 208 watts so a 250 hps would be 42 more watts. You get charged by the kilowatt hour for power so a watt is a watt no mater watt lol, if it is a tv watt, hps watt, or computer they all consume watts. So it would cost you the equivalent of 2 more 26 watt cfls.

you wont have any worries with a 250, electric bill wise. i would get it if i was you. ya it looks like it should be ready in a week or so. good job

it looks close but the only way to tell for sure is to get yourself a 30x magnifying glass and look at the tricomes... if they are all clear its not ready, if some are turning milky and u harvest u get a heady stone, when half are clear and half are milky you get a balanced head and body stone, if you wait till they start turning amber u get a better body high... (high also strain dependant)... Get your self at least a 30x mag glass with a light (light important so you dont get a shaded view)... one that goes up to 100x works even better!!

hey those nugs look real nice for what ive seen using cfl, nice and compact. did you flower straight from clone? they look like they never really had any veg time. props man...i think you will see a big difference using a 250 watt. like tsunami said you will get more penetration and more efficiency. i think they look ready but im not familiar with the strain, i would definately start the flush tho.

Wow thanks for all the feedback guys i really appreciate it, im probly gunna get a 250 watt hps.

i vegged it for 27 days then i started to flower, it is now 9 weeks into flower

how much yield do you guys think i will get from this plant , i know prolly not much
maybe half ounce, hopefully its good stuff
it smells really really good

you personally will be able to judge it the best, for we are only looking at pictures.

You can always buy a hand scale for 4$ or if you have money to spend Buy a Digital scale.

this wont help you with the idea weight right now, but it will come into use later.:roll:

well 420 the point of growing a plant that only yields a half ounce is for me to get more growing experience and also i wouldnt mind smoking a half ounce

i agree its not quantity its the quality everyones different some people smoke hard some dont i would say u will get half mybe bit more make sure you cure properly im sure it will be a great smoke great grow thanks widdow

yoo vanhalen. keep your cfls around for veg even when you get the hps. also, it looks like you want to put them closer/ around the plant as well as above it. just some suggestions to get some better bud formation. peace bruh
