Thought I'd start a journal for my own benefits of logging my grow and for others to chime in if they think I can better myself somehow.

I'm growing 4 Pineapple Chunk seeds by Barney's Farm. Bought them from The Vault and they arrived in 10 days. Happy customer.

I'll be growing with Amare's 350 Solar Eclipse. Footprint for the light is 3x3 but we'll see what happens in 4x4. A bit of extra room is always good anyway.

For nutes I'm using General Hydroponics Flora Nova grow and bloom. Thinking of grabbing some Rapidstart, Floralicious Plus, Calmag and Liquid Koolbloom soon but grow and bloom will get me started for now.

Growing each plant in a 20L bubble bucket wrapped in aluminum tape to keep light out.

Each bucket is getting 20L/min of air from this noisy, hot air pump. This thing gets so hot it melts hoses so they won't stay on the manifold (reason for all the tape lol).
Its 105w and pumps out 85L/min which is a little excessive I realise, so I'll be swapping it out shorty for two 15w pumps. That'll give each bucket 5L/min.

There's a 5in inline on the roof of the tent. From memory it's about 168cfm, dont quote me on that, with a filteroo carbon filter to be attached when things get smelly.

I believe I've covered everything. Things get pretty hot here in summer and cold in winter. I'll be rolling with the punches and adapting as I go. Humidity sits around 50rh right now, so I might get a humidifier to push it a little higher for veg.

3 seedling are 7 days old and 1 is 12 days. Put nutes in their water today at around 430ppm. My water is 220ppm from the tap.

See what the numbers are tomorrow and adjust accordingly.

Also the light is only on veg mode and about 20" away from seedlings. Using 6/2 light schedule, heard of some people using it with positive results and thought I'd give it a go too. Things seem good so far.

does amare still offer the 350? I haven't seen it in awhile pineapple chunk can be stretchy I grew it when they first released it

I bought this light about 18 months ago now I think. I don't believe they sell it anymore, now they have an upgraded 450 fixture.

I was looking at the 350 it just seemed like a good size to me I ended up with a Johnson cx-6 but think I would of prefered a light like yours I think although I'm happy with the Johnson I'm real interested to see your amare at work

Dropped my cheapo ph pen in the res today

So I've ordered a blulab set. Hopefully I don't drop these in the water, they're a tad more expensive. Should be here wednesday, lets see what happens in that time...

Both excellent products. Not sure where you are but my ec pen did not include the calibration kit but the pH pen did. Just a heads up so you're not surprised if it ends up being the case for you.

"Bluelab Probe Care Kit / pH & Conductivity Probe Care 2.77EC pH7.0 & 4.0
Everything you need to clean, hydrate and calibrate pH probes as well as clean and test conductivity (ppm/EC) probes."

Thats the description on ebay. By the sound of that it comes with everything i need to calibrate and store them. Cheers for heads up though, we shall see soon

The blulab ph and ppm pens didnt show up this week which sucks. The plants are really starting to show whats happens when you dont keep everything in check.

3 should pull through. Not so sure about the back right

Blulab set arrived this morning Gave them a clean and calibrated them.

The biggest plant was at 6.3ph and still doing fairly well. The smallest was at 6.9 and the others were at 6.7. I've set them all back down to 5.8. Swapped out the smallest ones res and lowered the ppm a little and set ph back to 5.8 also

Hopefully all can bounce back and get on track
