howdy people. took theses pics a little while ago. the pistils are actually on the lowest and smallest colas on the plant.(skunk) does everything look ok? finish time? should i start the flush? id say mebe.......7-8% are brownish. the rest are bright white still.

also, i missed my lights off time by about an hour...twice. oops. there was no interruption during the dark cycle, the light was just on a bit longer than 12 hrs. will this turn my girls hermie? ive checked the new growth and havent noticed any "sacs". still v-shaped pistils. am i in for a couple weeks of pain? are they going to start to veg again?

the other 2 plants are just starting to fill out now so they're at least 2 weeks behind. when i put the skunk into flush will the other 2 crap out? or just have a lack of nutes for that 2 week period?

u should be alright..no hermies.doin hydro right?i grow in soil..and dont flush..but ive read several times that in hydro u flush 2 weeks before harvest w ph balenced water.to me it looks like u still have 3 to 4 weeks still!like i said i dont do hydro..so i just repeating wat ive read!good luck!

thanks for the insight guys. i havent detected any sacs yet so i should be good. the whole flush thing is to get the nutrients out of the bud so it doesnt smoke harshly. just worried that the other 2 plants, in the same system, will suffer from the lack of nutes.

I flush to remove excess salts from my soil a couple of times throughout the grow but I won't flush before harvest. Great looking bud there.

thanks for the input. supposedly the flush is for a better smoke. got some time left so no worries yet.
gonna post some more pics on monday (wk6). follow my journal and keep the help comin!!

I tend to like to wait a few days to a week after what the breeder recomendations are; i would start flush the beginning to middle of week 7; when i use orgenic nutes, i dont flush at all...

yeah im using stealth hydro nutes. they suck but ive been supplementing with nitrex and monster bloom. they seem ok. on my first grow,(only my second now), i smoked what i could from the plant that i killed and it tasted strictly of chemicals. dont want that to happen again. just worried about the other 2 plants. they're in the same res.

V-shaped pistils??? I wouldn't mind seeing those.. I've never had v-shaped pistils. hehehe, :P just messing with you bud!

I think you meant, v-shaped calyx's. The pistils are the 'hair like' structures that emerge/protrude out the ends of each calyx. Also, just a bud-4-thought for everyone.. a bud is made up of a certain amount of calyx's, that have compiled onto each other. Just trying to help educate the noobs!

hardy har har guru. ya got me......thanks for the info, and the correct terminology. ur right of course. on another note. since the whole light cycle mishap i see one ball lookin thing on one of the newer grow spots at the bottom of one of my plants. searched like a madman for this same thing on the others but nothing. could a new bud spot look like a pollen sac or am i in trouble? been two days now and it hasnt burst OR started to look like a bud. is it common for new bud sites to sometimes look like pollen sacs? or shoudl i just chop it off to be on the safe side? ima try and get a pic, but its buried at the bottom....check back for pics

Yeah, no kiddin. Just really worried about my other girls. Hopin they tough it out and don't get hermified. Its my own damn fault...hopefully its just weak genetics and I can control the problem. Watchin em like a hawk now. Kinda hard to see some spots through the growth, but I'm doin my best....wish me luck!

youll be good, so have less worries! I saw a fair share of those little guys on my most recent grow and as long as theres only one youre fine. By harvest its just a swollen resin sac covered in shiny trichs

hey bud that would be a false seed pod or a seed pod...im pretty sure... haven grown several males or hermies in my first few grows :) there would be a small cluster of sacks at first then they each grow out and away from the steam then open up...when they open there will be like 4 peels like a banana lol with little flat pollen things hangin out of em :) but if they happen to turn out to me males testies you will be able to tell way before they pop just remember that up there ^^^^lol nice grow tho man holy chit lol nothing like ur first lol not even close

she runs kinda hot with the doors closed and lites on. i figured out how to stop this from happening for the most part. sometimes the room gets to 90s. bad news i know. but that was weeks ago and im pretty sure its good now. mid 80s day and high 70s night. im home all the time with the door open.....such a tease with the girls growin right in front of me.....

another prob is the damn cat!!! she got a taste and she loves chompin the leaves!!!! shes such a pain in the ass!!! be careful everyone!!
