Placing budsites INSIDE a spiral CFL?

Do you think placing a CFL on the very top of a plant will increase bud size?
Like place the top of the plant inside the CFL spiral so it gets 360 degree light. Just place a fan blowing on it so it doesn't burn. Any thoughts?

If you could keep the temp down enough it could work but then the buds might get hella big from the light being so close and eventually wont fit.

I think your burn the buds. I have fans blowing across my cfl and they don't get to hot but I think the bud would quickly fill the area blocking air flow and burning the bud, but if you give it a try post up some pics

Yeah, that wouldn't be a good idea; it would burn the crap out of your plant. If you have more light than your plant can process it will dry and burn the leaves up. You have to have a balance of light and nutrition. Sorry, stoner idea, LOL.

also how do you reckon you are going to get the fat bud out? smash the lamp and get mercury and phosphorous all over it?

With some of the big huge 200w bulbs (u-bend rather than spiral) you could probably do it. You'd just need to be really careful about air-flow.

Hmmmm schouldnt realy be a problem actually.... I've got a fan and when it blow'd on the cfl ... the small one.... it was ice cold ^^ and i think it would work!

just blast that fan on it ! have 2 fans !!!

1 fan from each side... should do the trick....

id say GO FOR IT!! if you think you can keep it cool enough. that's how people learn, experiment! think about it, maybe one day in history everyone grew outdoors then some stoner said hey dudes lets take a street light (hps) and try to grow weed indoors and they looked at him and told him he was on crack. lol Yeah the 200w seem fine for that but imagine using the spiral cfl's then you have a hell of a time getting it out after lol. GL.

i had some leaves touch one of my side light cfl's and it burnt the leaf even though there was a fan blowing right over it
