Bringing my garden to all you herb doctors for a mid-life check up.
They were born in late April and planted early June.
Maybe three weeks into bud.
Some Bag Seed and some clones from a good source.
Gardening 100% organic. No insecticides.
Feeding via mulch and compost teas. Plus fish emulsion.
Generally the garden is growing well. The Bag Seed plants are exceeding the clones. Still, the clones though smaller are setting nice flowers too.
One problem has been pests.
Early it was leaf hoppers, currently I have thrips.
Mostly lower parts are affected and the plants continue to do their thing so I'm not sure if I should take action. I neither want or can afford to use store bought treatments and I'm not sure how effective home made stuff is, plus killing the beneficial bugs too seems counter productive. I have mantis and spiders.
The second issue is most of my plants are dropping their lower leaves at quick rate.
Ferts too hot? Deficiency?
Normal symptom of maturity?
I think it is seperate issue from the thrips.
Check out the pics and let me know what you all think.
Thank you.
General views of garden.
Tops and bottoms of plants.
Leaf showing potential deficiency, but which one?
