i have a 600w lamp to grow in a airing cubbord and using clones that are aporox 10 inch tall ... when i added the lamp the leafs curled up and burnt yet i had tho lamp aprox 50cm away what did i do wrong??

i have now lifted to about a meter and cut of all the burnt leaves leaving very few leafs,, i think this will die now so geting some more clones tomorrow any advice on what i was doing wrong so i dont make mistake next time around...

i am using a large fan for the air flow on medium speed

also should i leave the airing cubbord door open or closed as when closed still gets quite hot in there when you open the door

50 cm sounds about right but clones are very sensitive and should be introduced to this bright and hot light gradually. maybe try 76-80 cm away or further if the light is not air-cooled.

your light should be air-cooled though and it sounds like you are going to have heat/ventilation problems in the future. you need an intake and exhaust that you can filter otherwise you're going to stink your place out with the smell.

you'll know if the light is air-cooled because it will be connected to duct work and a fan. it will also be enclosed in glass.

Look online at some grow shops and you'll see the different hoods.

must be basic its 600w wi metal shade on it just got 2 more clones set them up at about 1 meter away from light , my fan is blowing strog on them is that ok? i have them in 6 inch rockwells in plastic container surounded by stones

a strong fan is great! it shouldn't blow them over but you should see them shaking.
