Plant getting too tall

I found a seed in some medical cannabis. Hadn't seen a seed in 10 years so I was surprised to find one in this high quality medical bud. I hastily threw it in a pot of half miracle grow soil and half beautiful compost. The sucker has grown. Are the close up pics early buds? Is it too late to top?ju

Yep. Congrats. Forget topping. Pull it over with cord and a stake if needed.
