Plant growing slow and a bit odd looking

I have a plant grown from an unknown seed. The attached photos were taken at about 6 weeks from seedling. The plant has been vegging under 24hour 125watt CFL for most of that time.

The plant is living in a modified waterfarm bucket, using the General Hydroponics 3 part solution mixed in proportion for vegging.

My problem is that it's stem and branches are all very thick, but short for some reason. They don't seem to be growing very fast, either.

I also notice that some of the leaves are growing at odd angles to the plant.

Could this be some kind of genetic problem? Nutrient Deficiency? Or am I just being paranoid and it's this particular strains characteristics?

Thanks

Is it getting a nice amount of air circulation in there? It is growing very strangely indeed. Is it your only plant? Could be a runt, or strange genetics.

whats the ph? that could be causing the odd angles to the leaves.
and how high is the light from the plant? 24hr cycle is good for lighting, if your trying to make them get bushy, and not grow upwards, i try to stick to 20/4 for vegging, seems like a good balance between height and bushyness. 24/0 and very close lighting can cause short bushy plants, that have a ton of nodes in a small space, and very very slow growth.

the nutrients seem to be ok tho. its a nice green color, with no necrosis.

id check pH, raise the lighting perhaps, and change the cycle to 20/4 or even 18/6 (for faster growing)

Yep I would say move the lights a bit. Just a little so they can stretch. Mine was 5 weeks and looked like it was a couple days old and I moved the lights considerably and she started stretching nice and tall. oh and 18-6 is awesome. Plus you save a little moneys
