plant is dying - brown shrivled leafs

hey guys ,
I was away for 4 days and left my brother in charge of my 2 plants he said he watered them once. The soil seemed fairly dry when i came back . the leaves were also gone brown and withered anyone know why the leaves are going like this ?

Hard to say, he could have watered them when the lights were on and they got burnt.

yup my thought also your buddy was a little sloppy at watering

Soil level looks fairly low for that size pot so I am leaning towards low-moisture/drought stress. I would add more soil until it is nearly level with the rim of the container, the plant(s) will slowly put out new roots along the main stem and keep the mositure level somewhat more stable and likely reduce the potential for root restriction. Can only help the final yield as well.
The damage to the leaves is also a little too widespread and consistent to attribute to "sloppy watering" under the lights.
