Plant not flowering?

Hi,
First time grower and Iam flowering my plant to make sure it's female, it's been on 12/12 for about 12-13 days now and there's no sign of sex what so ever.

I read the longer it takes the more likely it is to be female and the maturity of the plant is vital (after all it's a life cycle)

My plant was in veg for 3 weeks. The plant is 8 weeks old.

Is this normal?

1.5 weeks in flower and 3 weeks in veg. Given 1 week to sprout the seed, What was the plant doing for the other 2.5 weeks?

Could be normal for such a young immature plant.

Cant hit puberty till you're ready

If the plant Is doing it then it's normal for the strain and conditions she is under !!

Im still a newbie aswell, but might be of some help here.

First off, plant will show maturity when its side branches are alternating (hope I worded that right)

Secondly, is this an indoor our outdoor grow? In both cases, make sure it has complete darkness in 12 hours. I had one plant, outdoor that just did not wanna flower. Later found out my porch light was strong enough for it to think tlit had 24/0 light.
