plant sexed, wont flower

Hey guys, just post a quick question while I look around for some answers about what's going on. I have an og kush (hso) plant that I vegged for almost 2 months. About 4 weeks ago I had it in my flower tent, and it started showing sex. I took it out and put it back in veg, it eventually stopped growing calyxes (while the bottom parts of the plant that had already gotten them started getting frosty as shit even without buds).

Anyways, I figured it would flower super fast since it had already sexxed once. It only took a day or two for new calyxes/pistils to start developing, but now its been in flower for a week and it still only has single calyxes at the bud sites. The plant has been healthy all the way through, no nute burn or anything so I figured it would start budding pretty fast. I did super crop a few branches at the beginning of flower, which healed nicely but maybe slowed it down?

This is my second run; my first run I had pH problems in the beginning PF flower that really stunted my growth. I haven't had those problems this time around and it still isn't growing like I'd like.

I'm running soil, ffof and extra perlite in smart pots. I'm also running auroras roots organics line. I'm tthinking of switching to synthetic nutes so I can check out the difference. I know the uptake with synthetics is much faster, but I'm running my nutes pretty hot (1 1/2 times the concentration of the 5mil program) and have added gh's kool bloom to try and help it out. I can post pics later when the light comes back on. If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd love to hear them.

Hey Thor! Nice to see you're still around! As for your problem...light leak??? Other than that I'd wonder if the reveg didn't slow things down. I've never done that myself, so I can't help. But maybe the second time around the plant needs a little more time to get going?

Probably stressed her a little with the veg-flower-veg light change. Watch for hermie. Read that can make em grow balls. Never seen it myself so I just speak of books I have read. Hope it doesn't and gets back on track making big nuggets for you.

Whaddup, kryp? Yeah man still around I've just been super busy with cropping out my first harvest. I got just over 20 o's on my first six plants, and almost half of that was on one plant. All indicas and one sativa dominant pheno, which was the one with all the weight.

I figured the reason that plant had so much weight was BC of all the extra veg time it had. When the og sexed (the first time) I knew it would really help my yield to keep vegging, plus sxlstew told me the trick about sexing them and then keeping them vegging.

I think you're right about it maybe stressing the plant out. This og is kind of like my 1 1/2 run, its the only plant in between my first and second main runs so its kind of all by herself in terms of development. But like I said, when I put her back under my t5's for veg it definitely did some weird things, getting covered in trichomes on the bottom being one of the main ones.

I was just really hoping to see some faster flower growth this second time around. My first run, all of my pics at certain weeks seemed behind where peoples generally were (like a lot of week 4 flower pics already have the colas growing together, mine didn't start connecting until week 6 with indica strains [8 weekers]).

I have 4 seeds germinating, and I'm probably gonna look into a little diy aeroponic setup.

Umm. At one week of flower you often barely have even seen pistils popping out. It's still mainly vegetative growth. Rapid vegetative growth. It should take about 10-18 days to really see bud set occur. So as far as that goes your growth is normal.

However if it went into flower and was kicked back into veg for less than a month or so then reflowered I wouldn't be shocked if it exhibited extra slow flower initiation or strange growth.

Cool, thanks for the input. Yeah, it's definitely done some strange things so hopefully its alright. It is pure og kush, which is not known to be a heavy yielder. We'll see what happens.

Edit: after it sexed, it tevegged for at least 5-6 weeks. When it first sexed, it was still growing new calyxes at new bud sites but for the last 2-4 weeks or so its been in straight veg mode and didn't grow any more sex parts until I put it back under the light. And, now that I think about it, I think today is only day 5 of being under the hps for 12/12 and this morning I did notice some new calyxes, as well as a lotta knew leaves forming at the Bud sites, so I guess she's getting ready.
