Plant Too Big!!

Hi all!

So I get this phone call from a buddy, who is a brand new grower I've been helping. He asked me to stop by b/c one of his northern lights is almost touching the ceiling. I'm bringing my camera, and will return with pics. It's 3 weeks into flowering, and cannot be moved b/c there's nowhere to move it to. I'm thinking of the best means to remedy this, perhaps using twine to bend the top 2 feet like a bow?.

I've never had a plant too large before, so this one is a first.

Look into super-cropping. If the plant is in veg or early in flower you can top the tall branches without losing too many potential bud sites. With supercropping you squeeze the branch with 2 fingers until it snaps, then bend it over at a 90 degree angle. The plant will form a ball-shaped elbow of tissue around the snap. Use a bamboo stake or chicken wire to support the branches while they heal.

I actually just got back, the plant was never topped let alone properly pruned. He's learning a lot on his first grow, unfortunately he started with 17 plants...way too many for that amount of veg time. They all stretched like they're out in the woods!, and the largest is 6 inches from hitting that 7 foot ceiling...so I may not need to do anything.

With my amount of experience, I would be ashamed if these were my plants...but not bad for someone else's very first grow.009.JPG003.JPG

Edit:That monster is actually a NL mother crossed w/Bros. Grim C99 daddy.

Whoa,what a mishap. I felt a jolt of anxiety just looking at that :). Dont know if there is much to be done other than hedging a foot or two off those trees and doing some aggressive pruning and tying on the rest.
edit* It mainly looks like the one is the most out of control,the others will probably be ok
