plant turned purple

Don't know if anyone had experienced this but my haze Sativia growing outside was just about 10 weesk into flower when it started turning purple. The strain is supposed to flower 10-13 weeks and it was from seed so I expectd it to go longer. It did have some long fluffy buds so I chopped it because it was going to storm and it had already been raining a lot. Trichs are 50/50 cloudy clear. Just don't know if its ok to smoke. Any advice?

Alot of MJ plants will turn purple with colder weather.

More info would be helpful. Like what turned purple? Some strains genetically turn color. Also were the trichs half cloudy and half amber...or just half cloudy and half clear with little to no amber. If the first case, then you're okay. Second case, you shouldn't have chopped it because it was too soon. But either way you can smoke it you just wont get the full potential out of it if you pulled it too early. Just make sure you cure it long enough and you'll be good. You can always quick dry a small sample to see what you're in for. But as long as you dry it, it's smokeable...if you don't dry it, you wont get shit out of it because the chemicals activate through the drying process. Hope that helps.

shouldnt of chopped it, you just fucked yourself over on potency and yield. many things can cause a plant to look purplish/blue, cold temps, certain nute defeciencies, genetics-its nowhere near an uncommon occurence for the plants to do it. sorry you wasted most of your time you spent growing this plant, but oh well, theirs always next growing season to think about or you could build an indoor grow setup. best of luck

Pretty much all the plant slowly started turing purple over the course of about 10 days. It was turing pretty cold and it frickin rained so hard my other plants were leaning over so far I thought they were going to touch the ground. It did have a maybe 10% amber tichs so I expect it not to be too bad of a smoke. I cut a few clones and I have plenty growing inside so I got back up. I will make sure it dry it well. Thanks for all the advice!

Im in week 8 of my blueberry, I want them to turn blue/purple.
How low are the temps in your area at night and day?
My night temps are 60F-65F (15C-18Celcius) and my day temps are around 75F (25Celcius)
