Any opinions on this product? Other than the name is racist. There's a bit of sodium in it and i can't seem to find a molasses without sodium in my local stores.

I meant the Plantation part was kinda racist.Grandmas unsulphered molasses @ the market $4.
Blackstrap isn't a racist term
It refers to a reducing or refining thru more product boiling to crystallize sucrose.
It is loaded with Calcium , magnesium and iron. For us growers Its a soil additive to promote microbial activity.
Forget the high priced " bottle " supplements like BUD CANDY , extracts , etc.
This is a better and cheaper alternative that adds a sweet tone to the buds but NOT change the strains original taste profile. You can add molasses from start to finish on your grows or at every OTHER water or during mid to late flowering.
Thanks. I agree. I'm gonna start using maybe a teaspoon per gal.I usually start small ... Say 1/2 - 1 tsp starting week before FLIP then at every other watering. At week 7 , you can give 1 TBS once a week , til flush or harvest.
I use in a soil medium , other grow medium choices will be different. No more than 1 TBS. is ever needed per gallon. Even at that rate it's still a bit much. I find it tones the really CHEESEY strains down. Unless you like that strong feet smell and taste. I notice my smoke seems smoother to me when I use molasses. IMHO
thanksMolasses is only beneficial towards the end of the plants life, when it gets stingy releasing sugars from its root system. The idea is that molasses will help continue to feed the microorganisms after the plant "cuts them off" of their sugar supply. So, in other words, If you're not using microorganisms in your soil/media you're wasteing your time and money on molasses.
Thank you. I'm gonna start using much less. Its also got potassium @Budzbuddha is that eventually available for the plant as quickly as the cal and mag? I add half a teaspoon a gallon every watering along with other stuff. When I give my girls straight water should i still put a little mollases in there. It's what I've been doing so far but i heard too much Molasses can hurt your ladys.
@Derick32 sorry for posting qs on your thread. Figured since you were asking about mollases you might be interested. Peace
