Plants frying help!

I have other plants that are doing great mixed with last year's dirt and a couple yards of new topsoil added. Six of them are only filled some mushroom compost topsoil that I got locally added with some other soil I bought with small Redrock and rice hulls. Those six seem to be growing slow looking yellow and the inside leaves are turning yellow and burning.

@Garden Boss @doublejj @Joedank any ideas? As you can see in the last pic. The ones with all the old and new dirt mixed are doing awesome. The rest are not moving very fast, looking yellowish, and inside leaves burning or fading strangely.

yea this for sure ^^^ foliar works well with immobile nutes
i am aware your a competent grower but
1.) have you fed them yet ??
2.) do you use a ph pen?
3.) water ph and ppm please.
4.) what / where is that soil mix from ? i recently was at a soil yard picking up pumice stone . the owner explaned his "high country mix" has been tested with off the charts salts the scientest testing said he was suprised a plant would grow in that...lol...

I've been feeding them Maxsea and Tappin Roots every other watering (1tsp a gal of each) but I've fed them very lightly since they started acting weird. They grew just fine till they hit about 2ft tall. It could also be related to the hot weather as well. I don't have a ph pen but I found some ph drops laying around. (Pic below between 6-6.5?). The soil was from a local place that make different kinds in bulk. It was a mushroom compost topsoil with little red rocks and rice hulls, manures, and idk what else. I added a little earthworm castings and fox farm marine cuisine in the soil.

How often do you water?
Where do you live?
How big R your pots?
I think your over feeding. If your feeding every other watering with Maxsea and Tappin Roots (what's this) I think you have a salt build up, or something's going on there.
How many times have you fed?
Answer the above questions and I'll give you my best advise.
As of now I'm leaning towards a good flushing, and water every day if in hot weather. Feeding every other watering is way to much. Put straw on top of the pots/dirt.

My pots get hot inside my greenhouse, they are smoking hot outside. IMO its the heat in your rootzone, looks very similar to plants Ive had in hot pots outside, yellowing, slower growth. GL

I second tree man and Buzz they both I think have hit your problem on the head. I noticed that you said you were using marine cuisine these types of fertilizers have salts and you appear to be having salt buildup along with hot root mass, I would try to cover your black pots with something tan in color to protect them from the sunlight. Flush the pots thoroughly and use a 100% organic topping, till in lightly, then feed with a high quality organic tea.

Since the heat I've been watering every other day or two. I always check the dryness of the soil. I've been giving the problem plants straight water for the last two weeks besides a little Tappin'Roots a couple days ago. I live in lake county, ca. Problem plants are in 65 gallon black smart pots. When I feed I watered lightly then gave them a few gallons of food. Maxsea I've heard you can build them to one heaping tablespoon and tappin roots calls for 4 - 6 tsps a gallon. So the dose was low but perhaps too often. I fed probaly twice a week. Tappin roots is http://tappinroots.com/shop/tappin-roots-all-stages/

This is what I'd do....
1)Place straw on top of the pots, this will help retain the moisture and help keep pots cool.
2)Water EVERYDAY from now on. Water heavy the first few days to flush. Those pots over heat, watering everyday will help this. Once I started watering everyday I was able to grow MONSTERS. I give 12-15 gallons of water daily in 200 gallon pots, I'd think 3-5 gallons a day should do good for those 65's after the first few days.
3)Feed once a week with Maxsea only (Calmag is okay to add). There may be some kind of reaction combining the two foods. Start at half strength then increase from there.
So the moral of this story is "more water, less food".
I planted my 2' tall plants in the 200 gallon smart pots on May 20th. I fed for the first time today with Maxsea. That's 6 weeks with no food added, while watering everyday. Take a look for yourself (click below), less is more!

iv had to water just abut everyday, and also use shower postion on hose to wet outside of pots and it oes make the plants bigger cuz they grow at night

Great tips. thanks a ton man. I'll definitely take your advice. Unfortunately i just paid rent and I'm broooke. The hay and calmag will have to wait for a few days....but I'm flushing
