I too dressed yesterday with a buildAflower and added build a bloom to some coconut water and watered my plants with it. This is the result the next day. What exactly went wrong and how do I fix it
Yeah I find it hard to believe those leaves were healthy yesterday. Those leaves burned up in one day?
I’m not familiar with coconut water for plants? Can you explain?
Why? Why? Why?I too dressed yesterday with a buildAflower and added build a bloom to some coconut water and watered my plants with it. This is the result the next day. What exactly went wrong and how do I fix it
You added nutrient on already amended soil that would probably grow plants fine from seedling stage and 6 weeks onward. You need to think in terms of what's actually in the soil medium and monitor plant response. You only feed a plant who's asking for nutrients in veg(in soil). Let the plants talk to you, tell you what to do and listen carefully.
I think you begin in the wrong end if you start your growing journey with top dressings and amendments. Instead of giving the plants readily available nutrients in a controlled manner with actual measurable strength with EC and pH you instead have to calculate the time it takes for the nutrients to degrade by microbes before they become available for the plant to uptake. There's many variables to take in to consideration for a new grower. How to feed the microbes and multiply them and how to keep soil temperature optimal.
Not blindly force feeding the plants and burning them to bits. That poor plant is probably done for. Maybe a flush would remove some excess nutrients.
I hope you're not a victim of Mr. Canuck on YouTube? Trying to mix inert coir and hydro with organic top dressings, a complete recipe for disaster.
Me, I’d leave the fans. Your plants don’t look real big so they could probably use the plant mass. They might be a depository for any nutes that are in excess as well. Maybe...Don't watch him. Simple is better as well. You can grow perfectly wonderful plants with soil. You can grow perfectly wonderful plants with organics. You can grow perfectly wonderful plants with hydroponics. But don't mix them.
If it's a photo plant I would remove the burnt fans from the branch and try to get it healthy. If it's an auto, you're screwed.
I have watched him as I am a sucker for fellow Canadians, but I really question trying to build super soil and focus on organic grows using coco, which is completely inert and has no microbial life or food to support it... but hey, he does his thing, I do mine! You added nutrient on already amended soil that would probably grow plants fine from seedling stage and 6 weeks onward. I guess you haven't seen his sad and burnt to bits looking plants? Sounds to me like you idolize and copy the guy to a tee? Good luck with trying to run organic hydro, that's a very weird sentence.I have watched him as I am a sucker for fellow Canadians, but I really question trying to build super soil and focus on organic grows using coco, which is completely inert and has no microbial life or food to support it... but hey, he does his thing, I do mine!
"BuildaSoil is the name of the company's brick and mortar store. Their company youtube channel is also named "BuildaSoil" of course they monetize it, it's their products.I wouldn't trust any grower on YouTube who monitizes products. That's the first indication you're probably getting taken for a ride.
