Plants too close??

Soo, i planted some germ'd random bagseed today, ended up only being able to plant a couple seeds about a foot apart or less.
I have read that they should be at least 2-3 ft apart from each other, does it really matter if they are too close?? I might just tie them to a chain link fence for some LST.
Is it possible to have them "lean" in opposite directions since they are butted up to a fence?:idea::confused::confused:

Hey Illicht,

You don't want your plants too close. Your girls will want all the light they can get from all directions. You did the right thing. 2-3 ft inbetween will be just fine.

And to answer your LST question.. You can twist, bend or lean in any direction your heart desires. That's the beauty of low stress training. You need a branch to fill a hole in the canopy? Plants getting too tall? Almost anything and everything can be adjusted to suit your needs with a little LST elbow grease.

GL!

They are not 2-3 ft apart, im just wondering if i can still keep them where they are even thought they are less than a foot apart. I was thinking i could LSt the plants once they sprout to grow in opposite directions along a fence line(plus they will be less noticeable) i was unsure if root growth etc will be a problem with them too close?

Np, Canuck. Now i just need to figure out what i will do for fertilizer....

Oh, one more thing, i vaguly remeber reading something about waiting until there are 3 or so nodes on the plant before beginning to LST. plz correct me as to when i should start tying them back, just for future reference, they arent even sprouted yet lol.

The hell with topping I say bend em' over and get a nice even canopy.
yeah i was thinking about bending the taller (?sativa?) one away from the shorter (?indica?) one. whats funny is if you look close it seems that early on something ate the new growth tip and i ended up having THREE colas WTF?!?!, i always thought it was just 2 or 4 when they get cut/pinched above 2nd node.
