Plants very small for 4 weeks

Hi, I have 5 plants growing, 4 weeks from seed, 4 are looking healthy, one has small holes from bugs in the leaf though. They are outside, already transplanted last week into bigger pot. Used john innes number 2 soil when I transplanted, for 3, 2 in regular soil, (to experiment which ones grow better)
Can anyone help, with why the plants are very small for 4 weeks? one has about 5 sets of true leaves, and they look healthy enough, just im curious about them being so small. Am I right in thinking that they are small because of being transplanted, or because they grow slower outside, with irregular sunlight etc?
just put plant food in the pots today, the tablets that release food slowly, that is the only nutes im using.
On one plant, the leaves have been folding under. With these pics, it had recently been raining, which is why I think more leaves on more plants looked bent down.
Needs to be outdoors, as havent got space indoors to grow, nor do I want to grow indoors for certain reasons.
Any advice would be appreciated, thankyou

Slow growth could be many things.. Bad genetics, no nutrients, among many other circumstances.. Are they in sunlight all day?.. Did you just give them the nutrient mix?

No you are wrong on every count. Transplanting helps the plant grow more rapidly. Because you didn't describe your lighting situation I'm going to assume you don't have enough light on them. Lots of light is very importants.

From what I understand north uk doesn't have a very good outdoor season. I live in the NW of America, very similar climate. I grow indoor! Better lighting.

They are outdoors all the time, and have as much sunlight as possible, recently its been raining a lot, but they get as much light as possible, not had loads of sun tbh, but even without sun, I thought daylight was still good for them?
I just gave them the nutrient mix, as the soil said it could feed for 5 weeks, didnt want to give them nute burn or whatever, but I thought I would give them the nute mix today, to see if it will help for growth. I am noticing growth every day, just looking at other peoples pics for 4 weeks and over, theyre huge compared to mine lol
the plant that has holes in the leaf, should I let that grow, or cut it down? thanks

calm down dude . They look like they are just now getting some leaves to use for power . they need leafs to use to gather the light right . they always start out slow till about that point . I was in you boat a week or two ago and now bam they are taking off . Don't listen to these guys telling you to feed a plant that small . wait till it's abit bigger and look for signs that it's hungry . let the plant do the talking . They will tell you everything you need to know if you just learn to look for it . I like to let them get a little more size on them before going nuts on the food . that way i have less chance of burning my babies .

I would grow indoors, but havent got the grow room equipment to grow indoors, i.e all the lighting etc, and also, cheaper to grow outdoors :)

Yea for 4 weeks, those look like seedlings. If the weather is overcast and rainy then they won't grow well. If you don't want to bulk them up indoors with some lights then you will have to deal with slow growth due to lack of strong sunshine.

is it an ok thing I gave them the plant food this early then? I gave them miracle grow, slow release tablets, where you push them into the soil, and they release food according to the temperature, i.e, warmer, they give more food etc, and it says feeds for upto 6 month, theyre like granuley things if that helps lol

Also they look a little overwatered. Let the soil dry out on the top two inches in the pot before watering again. Cannabis doesn't like wet feet.

slow growth maybe fine, just as long as it wont be a serious issue, with my plants and the size they are, was concerned they had problems, i know its because of the light, but thought something else, but they are looking healthy otherwise. could a cfl over each one, indoors for a few weeks, help any more than just keeping them outdoors?

All I can say is they want light, that I'm sure of. If they get light they will use all the nutes you gave them and be happy.

they are only that wet because of the rain, otherwise I would only water them every other day when they needed it, and also, it was recently raining, which is why they were that wet, had a huge rainfall tonight lol

if it was more sunnier, and less wet, sounds a bit stupid lol, but would the leaves straighten out more, and not droop?

Err, try to keep them much dryer if they are outside. Like move them undercover when it rains, if you are serious about these doing well.
