Please can advice be given here on my -current grow situation

Hello, I live in the UK, i 'consider' myself to be an indoor grower, still not grown yet though.. but still an indoor one. The weather here is pretty grim, mostly rainy and often cold, read on to realise my problem and why i am giving you a weather report.


< I am completely new to growing, first time ever, i basically would like this thread to be a personal guide to me, and possibly to others, on everything you need, and need to know, to grow!
I have bought so far:
(Ebay)

• a mylar tent, 1.2mx1.2mx2m with pre installed, ventilation system, some sort of co2 "thingy" and a fan.
• One 600w HPS ballast and lamp and one CFL panel of lights
• Atami wilma 8 pot hydroponics system, self watering etc, comes with pots needed
• A growing medium of, coco + clay pebbles, 4 in each, i was told both are good for hydroponic grows going to try both
• The only nutrients i have are coco A+B which i have been told to use throughout, i need some more nutrient suggestions!
• Then the thermometers, the ph up/down the ph test kit,
• Feminized seeds of different gentics, mostly indica, the rest indica/sativa and a mango haze and super lemon haze which i have been told is sativa(?)

I have the space, time and electricity to grow..
I have a few problems, one is i don't know if i have everything i need, secondly, this being the biggest problem is i have only one space to grow, my roof.
My street is full of flats, tall builldings with flat, grey roofs, i am the only person on the street, with a house, i have acess to my roof, that noone else has, you can't see onto the roof broadly, and most people don't look up anyways, the roof is
6mx1.7KM so i have a lot of space, i have so much space because my house being the tallest, i can get onto all the other roofs, i want to start primarily growing just with a 1.2mx1.2mx2m mylar tent on my roof and will go from there,
So my questions are:

1. Do i have everything i need? Is there anything i need to get aswell.
2. Is it Not at all a good idea to grow off of my roof, considering police and the weather(i can get a humidifier and heater up there if need be) I have, basic information on average for weath in uk, london is, 35-73(january high,44 low.35 april high,56 low,40 july high, 73, low,55 october high 58, low 44.)
3. If it is a good idea, during british summer whenever there is sun, should i let the plants in the natural sun?

I am not sure what the grow laws are in the UK but in the US it might look wierd to have a grow tent on your roof. However, without probable cause in the US they cannot just search your roof when they feel like it.

The law is that you can't grow or have possesion of marijuanna but it would recuire a helicopter to notice, a plane to high, only a helicopter, since noone from the floor can see it..?

i literally have nowhere else where my family won't realise,,
i am not able to grow if i cannot grow on my roof i guess...
would it really be to risky?

Honestly, if you are still living with mom and dad and they disapprove....Dont grow at their house. Wait until you move out. Its almost silly to try and grow around your parents all the while trying to keep it a secret.

tl;dr - Don't grow while living with your parents

It would seem less sketchy if you had a shed or something built up there imo but if your parents knowing is an issue then probably not

Haha no im from the states, Washington actually. I am not sure about getting a shed for cheap on ebay but if you can't I would imagine you could build one fairly easily. Then you would be safe unless FLIR hellicopters came through to swoop on you haha

Just consider the worst thing that could happen. The police find it and charge your parents with growing weed. Maybe they lose their jobs, maybe their names are in the paper...

You are gonna be using a very noticeable amount of electricity and unless you pay the bills your parents are likely to notice the increase and wonder what is the cause.

DONT grow weed unless you have the permission of the people in the house you live in or it is your house.

@staysmokin206 okay, but do you reckon the roof is going to hold about 100kg? or do you think its not prepared for that?

@nlxsk1 my dad lives in singapore, and my mum is rather dopey, plus if its in a shed, about 200m away from the roof of our house if police come into our house or something, i can chuck the plants down the "fissures" between houses, the only concern is whether it can hold the weight, also i have a basement now that i can possibly grow in, but my basement has no access to outside water, is this a big problem?

If you're living with your parents and they don't want you growing...

DON'T GROW.



You're risking their jobs, their house, maybe even jail time!

Get your own place.
