only males that have bud are hermies!

Err no.

Most males that have bud are monoecious, plants that have both male and female features.

An hermaphrodite plant is one which bears staminate and pistillate structures on individual flowers.

So you don't mean hermaphrodite (as true hermaphrodite dope plants are rather rare). You mean monoecious.

Thanks

Splendid!

I know Iam an insufferable pedant, sorry, but it bugs me when I keep reading about 'hermie' plants.

As I said a hermaphrodite plant is one that has flowers which have both male and female parts, which is rather uncommon.
Whereas a monoecious plant has both male and female structures that are seperate.

cheers
