please explain organics grows to me

i see people talking about growing organicly. they use organic soil and nutes but yet grow with artifical lighting that is using up natural resources. the electric isnt solar power or green energy. i just dont get it. know how much coal or gas it takes to power the turbin to make the electricity it would take to run hps lighting for the 16 or so weeks that we grow inside. so isnt it a oxymoron to grow organicly with artificial lighting?

let me start off by saying that i don't grow organically.. i think the main reason people grow organically is for the health benefits and a better end product imho.. its kinda hard to deny that organic ferts are healthier for one than something a fertlilizer company came up with in a lab.. hands down, organics have to be way better for the consumer ..
i don't really think that people who grow organically do so for the green reasons that you were thinking about as like you have mentioned, it takes a lot of non green energy to grow, but i think that they grow using organics for the health reasons and also organically grown mj is supposed to taste that much better than one grown using chemicals..
i've never really smoked any organic pot before, but from all i have read, i would think that organic is really the only way to get the best taste and cleanest burning mj possible.

You might as well complain that I drive my car and use gas to go pick up my organic nutes.

Your argument is flawed. Pick another thing to be unhappy about.

are you saying that growing under artificial lighting ruins the "organicness" of the grow, or are you confusing organic growers with tree hugging eco-freaks? (no offense to tree hugging eco-freaks )

"Organic" has so many different meanings... it's subjective AND based on context. However, it sounds more like you are confusing 'naturally' with 'organic'.

Along the same line of thinking as you stated though, wouldn't it be an oxymoron to grow plants organically in perfectly straight lines in fields cleared of trees and other natural vegetation, destroying the natural habitat of any animals that lived there previously, using mechanical tools, and piped-in water... even under natural sunlight?
