So it's my first grow. Could be multiple issues.
Growing in soil. Two Femenized Sensi-Seeds AK-48 mothers 6 weeks in to veg cycle.
I have been growing with Miracle Gro All Purpose 10-15-10 at 1/8 strength for seedlings and 1/2 strength now every 3rd watering. (I know now Miracle Gro sucks, and it was the wrong ratio for veg, but the lack of N doesn't show except on the very bottom leaves)
I have always watered them fully saturated then waited until they are almost fully dry to water again (A few times they may have gotten too dry, soil pulling away form side), used to need water every 4 days, now every 2.
I have Plant Pots that have a reservoir under them and a small cloth like wick that is meant to keep the soil moist. Mabey those are a problem and it's causing root rot or mold in the soil?
I haven't been able to set up the ventilation in my closet yet so I haven't been using my MH or HPS 400 watts. I only have 2 CFLs. The plant is defiantly lacking optimal amounts of light, but the problems seems to be all over the plant, not just localized to near or far from the light.
My closet has lots of space, and plenty of fresh air.
Room temps vary 16-22 Celsius. Mostly stay at 20.
The water I use to water is plain tap water. Our water should be 7.0 PH. I have slacked on letting the water sit out to evaporate chlorine, could that be the problem?
The soil also is not the best, I got basicly no name brand from from walmart and it could have come over ferted or contaminated with bugs/mold.
Mabey 1/10 of my leaves look great, except for minor nute burn on the very tips, which almost every mature leaf has. But most of them have more significant problems. Yellowing or blackening. The blackening quickly leads to necrosis brittle dead leaf tissue, which then leaves holes in the leaf.
How ever some of my leaves had holes in them that looked like bugs, but I can't for the life of me find any on them. I once saw a fruit fly around my plants and my house doesn't usually have any, but thats it.
Unfortunately I wrongly cut 4-5 of the worse of the leaves and disposed of them (thinking it might my disease or mold) before taking a pic of the holes.
The pics I have uploaded show the blackness on the leaves, that black does make holes on the leaves it effects, and continues to do so, I can find a few needle sized holes on the black tissue of recently healthy leaves. Only on 1 pic can you see an actual hole, but they are there.
Some new growth and young leaves are also starting to be pretty deformed.
Again form far away, the plants look great, nice shade of green, they are perky, they don't sag or wilt, its just once you're up close you see all this shit.
I plan to fix the brand and dose of nutrients. I could change the type of pot. I could treat my water with HCL to bring down the PH, or let sit out to get rid of chlorine. I could spray for bugs/mold. I could try and treat as a Magnesium deficiency and spray some epsom salt solution on the leaves. Or I could keep flushing them.
