please help, losing internet soon!!!!!

i am attempting my first grow, approx. 3 1/2 weeks in..
i am starting to research the sexing of my plants, nothing yet but i have had friends tell me that if it smells potent at early on it is likely a female.
i paid no attention to this at the time but ive just noticed a strong skunky smell from my plant.
does or can this indicate it is a female?
i assume that since females are more potent than males this could be true.

I would just look for the hairs/sacs

Males produce no bud, don't go by smell.

i just finished my first grow a few months ago and i remember when it was a baby just a few weeks old it started smelling realllly strong. turned out to be female

i saw where a guy used a usb wireless card, with an extension (usb) cable

he got an old dish tv dish, took the reciever off the end and mounted a campbell's soup can to the rod, stuck the wireless card in it, mounted it outside his window, and gets free internet from his neighbors wireless up to like a quarter mile away

yeah i have materials to build me one just need to get my soldering iron back from a buddy.
there is a linux distibution called "backtrack" specially designed to "test" wifi security.
