Hey guys thismorning when checking on my second transplanted seedling I
noticed the temp on my grow box was down to 22oC my baby had some discolouration, slight yellowish, not sure why.. :( the mix in the the reservoir is a mix of tapwater and aquarium water.
The aquarium water had not been aerated for a good few weeks or maybe a month before put in the reservoir! could that hurt them?

please help! everything keeps dying off in dwc! last year had no problems like this what so ever!2012-09-07_13-14-38_915.jpg

I would think 71 degrees F wouldn't hurt, but what is in your aquarium water, besides no air?

Was hoping only beneficial micro bacterias and old tropical fish waste i guess.
like i said un aerated for a while!
I did not have problems when i was using this when it was aerated but i decided to switch off the pump and airstone since there were no fish and it was consuming more electricity etc.. :(

I have this other baby im hoping to drop into one of my dwc systems as soon as i see things are ok. but what the hell is goin on!!! :(

so you may think a little too hot?
my last babies few days ago before theyt died,I had it at 22oC -25oC and it seemed to be doing more damage! drying up more etc humidity was going slowly or something.

Could it be lack of nutes from water?

if its not the aquarium water(which sounds like a terrible idea), its ph or those mineral rocks you are using are leaching.

Why,i have successfully used aquarium water before(people also use it,it has great beneficial in it from the waste!
when i successfully pulled off flower with it last time,it was aerated though straight out of the tank!
the rocks are pea gravel. :S have successfully used them and pretty sure others have to. :S
Leaching what??
ph is around 5.5 - 5.6

I just realized the gravel has been drying up pretty quick, nd have to water it every so and so to keep it moist!!

thanks.
