Hey whats up guys. Im a complete newb at growing but ive been smoking for quite a few years. I germinated some good seeds and this is my setup for my closet grow. Please help me out with any mistakes I have made so far or things that would help out a lot.

if those are florescent lights, you'll need something with more lumen output. those will work for small clones and maybe even veg but you'll need hid light, cfl light or led light to flower.. on another note, i would suggest NOT using pre-nuted soils. they release more nutes than new plants can handle. also put some sort of water catch under your plant box to make sure it will drain well, don't want root rot. if ur using mg soil id mix it 50/50 wit sumthin like humus and manure cux using mg soil strait will def burn ur plants and im sayin this from exp

Some good info guys I apprciate it! The lights are flurocent so I will have to get new bulbs tomrrow and I will also pick up some humus/manure mix

hey np i killed my first 2 plants using mg strait but i started mixing it 50/50 wit scotts humus+manure and has been werkin grt for me. but id start ur the seedlings out in sumthin lioke seedling starter mix then transplant into the mg+ humus mix

Some solid advice here - I'd also change out the black trashbag with possibly a sheet of plywood covered with mylar (will help protect the carpet & reflect light). I also use about a 1/4" pearlite on top of my soil to help with reflection.
And you will def need more lighting into flowering.

This guy is a newb I doubt he has experience with MG. Ive never had a prob with MG potting mix. Its imposssible to get fert burn even on seedlings. 100 out of 100 plants have grown from sprout in MG potting mix. Ive never had a problem. He probably just watered to death. Heres a pic of recent pics of g13 ww and LA woman. Also if ya want mylar and wanna get it cheap, just google mylar emergency blanket. Its reflective on both sides and is about 6ft by 5 ft. Cost about 1 dollar average per blanket. I got 3 for less than 10 bucks online with shipping. As for lighting just clik on pic and see what Im using for veg state. I use 400w hps and a 400w mh for flower. Will upload recent pics soon.

yes im kinda noob at growin indoors but im also having sucess atm using mg mixed 50/50 wit humus+ manure and no i dont water my plants to death i only water wen my soil is dry 1-2 inches and wen my pots are really lite but hey w/e if it werks for u then koo my way is werkin for me atm but im jus tryin to help the guy out cux it did burnt 2 of my plants and im jus lettin him noe wat it can do to his plants and also lots of ppl wood agree mg strait does burn the fuck out of ur plants'

In my (humble) experience many people have difficulty with MG soil because they try to run a fert regime when the soil is already loaded. Been there. Knowing this if you resist the urge to dump the nutes to them you should do well.

No hard feelings, I guess I was kinda a smartass in my reply but didnt think so till I reread it lol. Every1s a newb at 1 point. U can never learn enuff really. Ya it sounds like you know how to water, so many newbs over water and over fert there plants. They just really are lovin em to death. Mj can do well on its own it dont need much help. I dont add nutes till about a week into flowering I will start giving a mild mix of Miracle gro bloombooster until 2 weeks before harvest then flush with plain water for 2 weeks to use up all nutes in the soil.

Be carefull with the MG bloom booster, the N content is really high - caused me some probs by reverting plants back to veg some time back.

I've been using MG organic with no issues so far, +1 on new lights. Go HID, you won't regret it. My buds are always light and loose with flouros.

np iim not offended or nuttin jus like i was sayiin i was jus givin him my 2cents on my exp wit mg and im not knockin mg i also use it and i think its as good as any soil if u noe how to use it aand so far its werkin gr8 for me

Just use as directions suggest and they supply a small measuring spoon. The spoon has 2 sizes. The small size 1 is about half a teaspoon per gallon. Its impossible to get fert burn if u use as directed. There is even a no burn guarantee on the box. Oh pics will be uploaded soon of my freinds ww g13 grow.:eyesmoke:

Fluorescents will get closer nodes, but yes a mh light would kik ass but you have to have a lil room to use it. Im... oops I mean my freinds gonna flower this time with a 400w hps and a 400w mh. Should do great.

Oh 1 last suggestion, when you wanna pull your plant, wait 1 or 2 more weeks. My 1st grow I pulled too soon. Wait till at least half your trichomes are amber color.
