a friend of mine came and checked my grow today, and they were critical of my 14 plants that are 1 week into flower being 16 inches tall. They told me il prob get a quater ounce off each, i have a 400w and a 600w and temps always 26c, if this is the case i might start over as it owes me alot so far. I have a journal on this grow in question, still cant get my head around 16inch plants yeildin 7grams. Any words of wisdom??

What size pots are those? Usually once a plant starts to flower she'll get roughly 3-5 times the size she was right before flipping to 12/12. Pot size plays a big role. Ive had 18 inch plants give me roughly 1 to 1 1/2 oz dry each. All depends how you grow em, the strain etc...

Also, you're sitting at around 3.5 oz off the total if you're friends are right. not a bad haul. In the mean time you could always start some more and by the time they're in the flower room these ones will be close to being finished. win win.

Why offended? If they were critical of your person or style, i could see that. But truly, those fourteen in flower will probably net you eight to ten ounces, if all else goes great. Two more weeks of veg could have really upped your numbers and filled that tent.

But you're en route to more than a quarter imo. I hope this helps soothe your savaged breast. cn

thank u for trying to ease my mind, just 3.5 oz is pretty rubish for the cost and effort, 7.5 pots, i use cfls in all my past grows and get half oz a plant, thought hid would up yeild. My friend could be just hating at me but as his feedback was the only ivr had yet i dont know. I was hoping for about 14oz total, the learning curve aeh..

Your friends are dicks. From what I can see you look just fine with what your doing, You may have a couple too many plants in there but you will notice that for that for yourself when your 30-40 days deep and those girls fatten up a lot . I dont see why you cant get an oz. per plant there if not a little more in my opinion. For a 1000 watts you can easily get 12-16 oz. with out doing a whole lot other than keeping up with them. Good growers can get up to 2lb. per thousand but they also have dialed in the perfect conditions as well to obtain that.

Those look like Indicas, so i would not expect a whole lot of growth in 12/12. But you'll see each one producing a nice cola.

bigbilly gave you some great advice imo. Stay the course and finish your grow. I pulled six ounces from a similarly underfilled tent. They are beautifully healthy, so you're doing many things right. In the meantime, bigbilly's suggestion of starting some others (if you can rig a veg corner under some, say, T5s) has real merit imo. It certainly will shorten your cycle time!! And next time, don't be afraid to veg them a bit longer ... unless you're growing SOG (which works, but is best done once you're at ease with cloning en masse), plant size is your friend. (Up to a limit, oh my!!) cn

he does cfl and uk gorrila grows, he gets nice tasty weed dno bout his yeilds tho, im the yeild hunter out of us both.

If you tie the tops down now before the main part of the flowering stretch you'd probably be able to get your yield up, it'll make a bunch of new colas show up over a day or two. Just gently bend it over with some stakes and twist ties or with just string / twine/ wire etc. It should be noted that woody parts won't bend, so try the easier to bend top areas, probably the top half ATM is mainly green stems so bend from that point.. For more details you could search around for LST
