Hi there I have a Lumi compacta timer ballast it is magnetic one and it has its own digital built in timer for 18/12,12/12 lights cycle or permanently on. Was just wondering is it ok to plug, the plug and grow timer in extension lead and plug the ballast into that just bit concerned about the amount of watts as its a 400w hps? Also do I leave the plug an grow timer switched on permanently and let the ballast do the timing for the light cycle or is it best to switch the lights on all the time and leave the plug and grow timer to switch the lights on an off? first grow here so might be stupid question but if you don't ask you don't know ey!! an electrics aint my thing ha.
