Figured I had enough time before my new system will be done. So here's some pics from my recent clean up.
As you can see the buckets weren't really dirty but I like things clean.

After being cleaned up with 90% alcohol

Some pictures of their root structure.

The NYC Sour Diesel.

And the one Critical+

The new system will have 2" (schedule 40) pvc pipe for the returns. Each bucket will be on plant pot casters, with a 3 ft (3/4) flex line with a 90 deg elbow on the end. The 2" drain will have a series of 3/4 inch grommets along the top of the pvc drain line, where the buckets will plug in. Along side the 2" pvc pipe will be another 3/4 inch feed line that will have a series of 4 port manifolds with shut offs that the 3 ft (1/4") feed lines will run from.
As you can see I don't have bubble stones in my buckets and the roots are good and healthy. So at this time I wont be adding airlines to the new system. I believe this is due to very little nutrient water being left behind in the buckets, which allows the roots to get all the air they need. That and the nutrient water is replaced every 30 min. The reservoir on the other hand is aerated. It's also lower then the buckets so the nutrient water returns to the reservoir by gravity alone.
