BEACH - A Satellite Beach couple faces charges of operating a marijuana grow house that contained two dozen enormous illegal plants bearing more than 200 pounds of cannabis. Brevard County Sheriffs Office agents executed a search warrant about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at 765 Palm Drive,
This
house had three full rooms (used for) growing. A total of 24 plants (a seemingly small amount), but the plants were enormous and totaled over 200 pounds of cannabis, Lt. Vic DeSantis stated via e-mail.
The couple, Humberto Mirabel, 27, and Lilly Paz Bolano, 20, are natives of
Cuba, DeSantis stated.
They face charges of trafficking in cannabis, cultivation of cannabis, owning/leasing/renting property for drug distribution, and theft of utilities.
Both suspects remain incarcerated without
bond at the Brevard County Jail Complex.
