I was thinking about to pollinate one of my plant and get seeds for next season, but i don't want to sacrifice the whole plant, is possible to pollinate only 1-3 branches of plant or do i must sacrifice the whole plant? are seeds reliable? thanks

I just did this. I removed a plant from the room. Then I took a garbage bag and put it over top of the plant and cut a small slit near the bottom of a side and pulled 3 small lower branches out and zip tied them together. Then I carefully with an artist brush, brushed the pollen on the white pistols (these plant were 3 weeks into 1212). Then I took a small plastic bag and covered the 3 branches and zip tied the base. Then I removed the large bag from the whole plant leaving just the 3 branches with a bag on them to stop pollen from flying around my room. I also spritzed myself and the plant with water because I heard water kills pollen instantly. I then placed the plant back in the room. 5 days went by then I removed the clear bag that was covering the 3 lower branches and then sprayed them with water too to kill any extra un used pollen. It appears to have worked well. Those bottoms are covered in seeds and I haven't seen any elsewhere. Also I left the zip tie around the base of the 3 branches so I can easily find them and tell them apart.
