Hey y'all,
So I have a pollination question. I have 36 girls they are all about 4 weeks into veg. They're giving off preflowers. There are single full grown calyxes growing at the internodes on the plants. This is my second grow I'm not sure if this is normal for pre flowering. Either way there are orange colored stigmas coming out of them. When I break open the calyxes there are little tiny things that look like seeds forming at the end of the stigma.
All of the older calyxes have the darkened stigmas and the little balls inside. The new growth has light green colored stigmas. I have not looked inside for the little balls.
I have checked for male preflowers and haven't found any at all.
I was reading on another thread after finding a picture on Google that looks like what I have going on. On that thread someone said that it was just an ovule and not to worry about it. I can post pictures tomorrow.
So in the end I'm wondering:
Is it possible that one of the plants I had in my greenhouse grow that hermaphrodited pollinated these girls in my indoor grow?
The grow is about 100 feet away from the greenhouse one. The last plant was taken out a little over a week ago. The girls have been pre flowering since I got them. Looks like the cloner that I got them from took them off of a plant that was starting to flower.
My second question is: are the little balls just ovules?
