polyploidism buds?

hi!
My blue dream photoperiod by seedsman is producing some strange looking buds. Is this considered polyploidism? On one of them I decided to trim some of the leaves because it looked way to crowded.. should I trim the leaves on the others? I have quite a few. I tried uploaded a 7 second video but apparently it's too large.20210831_171221.jpg20210831_171234.jpg

Not sure if it’s polyploidism, but I don‘t think it’ll help your harvest to trim leaves from the buds.

Normal cannabis plants have two sets of chromosomes (diploid). A polyploid cannabis plant has 3 or even more chromosomes. It’s a genetic mutation but one that can occur naturally.

Early commercial applications include triploid hemp seeds which are intended to produce vigorous crops but with sterile pollen - so no accidentally ruining a neighboring cannabis farm.

Polyploidism is not identifiable just by appearance, it requires genetic testing. A lot of what gets termed as a polyploid on here is actually fasciation - an abnormal fusing and flattening of stems/branches.

I just read an article this morning about a strain called "Freakshow". Humboldt genetics has the gig on the seeds - IF you can get them; they are crazy popular.
Yeah it’s been around for a minute. It doesn’t have fasciation and isn’t a polyploid though. Freakshow leaves look very different from regular plants. Almost like fern leaves instead of cannabis.

Freakshow, Ducksfoot, they both have odd looking leaves but the quality of the weed is not very good. If you want something that looks strange then grow them. If you want good weed then grow something else.
