Pornography is a health risk in FL (but not guns)

This is a good one.

Florida’s House of Representatives passed a resolution declaring pornography a public health risk.

The resolution called for education, research, and policy changes to protect Florida citizens — especially teenagers — from pornography, according to the Associated Press.

They join fellow asshole Red states Utah, Tennessee, S. Dakota and Arkansas

The bill’s sponsor, Republican Rep. Ross Spano, said that research has “found a correlation between pornography use and mental and physical illnesses, difficulty forming and maintaining intimate relationships, unhealthy brain development and cognitive function, and deviant, problematic or dangerous sexual behavior,”

Geez, I wish I had known that 50 years ago, because that covers a lot of my issues.

The vote followed an earlier session in which Florida legislators declined to hold hearings on a bill banning high-capacity magazines and assault rifles such as the one used last week by suspected gunman Nikolas Cruz to kill 17 students and teachers at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Wow, it seems that Florida really has got their their shit together, like porn is a danger to society, but discussing access to assault rifles is off the table.

Guess kids in Florida will have to go back to spying on their sisters in the shower... Poor kids.

I'm 57. When I was a kid, porn was hard to get and expensive. You might sneak a peak at a few old Playboys from an uncle's collection, but it wasn't at hand all the time. Today young kids have hard core porn at their finger tips. Porn is a lot of things, but it isn't a true representation of what sexual relations in real life is. So it does lead to people having an unrealistic view of what sex should be. Many young people today have real sexual dysfunction because of this.

As for myself, I use it all the time. I'm married.
