Possible seed problem?

I germinated my seed Sunday in a shot glass with water that was sitting out for a few days (to remove chemicals etc). The seed sank to the bottom so I planted it Monday. As of today I can not see anything happening. I can see a some small and green coming out of the seed through the dirt. but no roots yet. is this a problem or do I just need to have patience?

She'll be up and out of the soil by monday. Remember, the biggest rule of growing is have patience. I mean, you don't sit there and watch the water until it boils so why sit there and watch the plant until it flowers? The less you look at them the more you'll notice a difference. The first week or two are the hardest because you're so excited to have a plant growing but you'll move passed that. haha.
